Chengdu Aims to be a World-Class Tourist Destination 文化活力 打造国际一流的世界级旅游城市

The Jinsha Site, the most important archaeological discovery of China in the early 21st century, the gold Sunbird foil, logo of China cultural heritage, the giant panda, China’s national treasure, the Mount Qingcheng and Dujiangyan Irrigation System, a world natural and cultural heritage site ... All of the human and natural legacies undoubtedly show that Chengdu is a fascinating city with a long history and profound culture and civilization.

According to Global Destination Cities Index of MasterCard released in July 2015, Chengdu’s number of international tourists increased significantly between 2009 and 2015, ranking second globally in terms of growth in foreign tourist arrivals and becoming one of the world’s 10 fastest growing destination cities.

The Wuhouci Shrine located in downtown Chengdu, first built in 223, is a famous historical site dedicated to Liu Bei (161-223), Emperor of the state of Shu in the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280), and Zhuge Liang (181-234), Prime Minister of the state of Shu and a well-known military and political strategist.

The Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage is a park located in Huanhuaxi, west of Chengdu’s city center. In honor of Du Fu (712-770), the greatest realistic poet in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the thatched cottage was the poet’s residence where he had lived for four years and wrote about 240 poems. As a national cultural heritage site and one of the most famous historical attractions in Chengdu, the park features a serene and poetic ambience, and lush greenery.

As one of China’s famous Taoist mountains and summer resorts, Mount Qingcheng is 20km to the southwest of Dujiangyan Irrigation System, which was an irrigation infrastructure built in 256BC during China’s Warring States Period and is now still in operation. The Mount Qingcheng and Dujiangyan Irrigation System were listed together as a UNESCO world natural and cultural heritage site.

Located in western suburb of Chengdu, the Jinsha Site Museum, one of the top ten museums in China, is one of the most important sites in Pre-Qin Period (before 221BC). More than 5000 artifacts of gold, jade, bronze, ivory and stone were unearthed from the site. The gold Sunbird foil excavated from here was adopted by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China to be the country’s logo of cultural heritage.

In the city with cultural diversity where East meets West, and tradition meets modernity, there are lots of unique neighborhoods and streets lined with exotic structures and facilities. The Tongzilin Street in the city center is such a popular community with both locals and visitors for the western-style cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars, and boutique stores.

In addition, there are plenty of theaters, music halls, libraries, galleries and museums in Chengdu. An official report shows that Chengdu now has around a hundred museums, topping the cities in western China.

As important part of the city’s culture, Sichuan Cuisine is highly reputed in the world. The cuisine is famous for its diversified flavors, and almost every dish has its own unique taste. Because of the diversity and inclusiveness of Sichuan Cuisine, Chengdu, birthplace of the food, was listed by the UNESCO as the first City of Gastronomy in Asia.

Lots of international celebrities, including the US first lady Michelle Obama and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel showed their love for Sichuan food during their visits to the city. To date, there have been 30 famous Chinese snack brands, 13 China Time-Honored Brands, over 10 food streets, and more than 60,000 restaurants in the city.

从西汉司马相如与卓文君的“才子佳人”成都，到三国时期的“武侯”贤智成都，再到盛唐李杜的诗酒成都，3000年成都收容着历史的回响。如果说，金沙文明的开启，让展翅的太阳神鸟为成都“衔”来一张独一无二的城市名片，那么，大熊猫则为成都迈向世界开启了一扇大门，青城山—都江堰则让世界的版图上多了一次超越时空的成都想象。金沙遗址的出土、太阳神鸟的发现、大熊猫的饲养、青城山—都江堰的传承都为成都深厚的历史文化底蕴找到了更新的依据。

2015年7月，万事达卡世界旅行目的地指数显示，2009年至2015年，成都接待的国际游客人次大幅增长，并在全球增速排行榜上排名第二，成为全球十大快速成长旅游目的地之一。今天，成都凭借着丰厚的文化底蕴和自然资源，以及现代的开放，持续刺激着世界各地游客到成都的热情。

走进成都，便能走进一段悠久的历史。

“不到武侯祠，不看大庙会，就像没有到过成都。”成都武侯祠是中国唯一的君臣合祀祠庙，全世界影响最大的三国遗迹博物馆。武侯祠占地210亩，肇始于公元223年修建刘备陵寝时，已有1700余年的历史。南北朝至唐宋时期，这里已是著名的游览胜地。唐代诗人杜甫曾留下“丞相祠堂何处寻，锦官城外柏森森”的千古佳句。

提到杜甫草堂，许多人总是率先想到冯至在他所著《杜甫传》中的那句话：人们提到杜甫时，尽可以忽略他的生地和死地，却总忘不了成都草堂。的确，这座现今位于成都西郊浣花溪畔的博物馆，曾是诗圣杜甫躲避安史之乱、留寓成都时的居所。他寓居于此4年，作诗240余首，迎来个人创作的黄金期。时至今日，造访者仍能从草堂外的梅林竹海中，走入这位文学大家的精神甬道。

拜水都江堰，问道青城山。位于都江堰西南20公里处的青城山，自古就有“青城天下幽”的美誉。战国秦昭王后期蜀郡郡守李冰父子率众兴建的都江堰水利工程，使川西平原不患旱涝，沃野千里，成为“天府之国”。

三星堆与金沙遗址的相继发现，揭开了古蜀国的神秘面纱。金沙遗址位于成都市西郊，这里出土的太阳神鸟金饰以及各种造型奇异的石器、金器，做工精细到令人惊叹。金沙遗址是中国先秦时期最重要的遗址之一，它与成都平原的史前古城址群、三星堆遗址、战国船棺墓葬共同构建了古蜀文明发展演进的四个不同阶段。目前，遗址清理出的珍贵文物多达千余件，其中金箔厚度仅0.02厘米、采用镂空图像的太阳神鸟金饰令世人惊叹。

在成都，悠久历史和现代文明交相辉映，本土文化和异域格调相互映衬，特色道路和街区好似成都的窗口，承载并展示着这座城市的交融性和独特韵味。

“走出二环，就到‘欧洲’”。在桐梓林路欧洲风情一条街，风雨廊道、艺术壁画、钟楼、广场、路灯，无不散发着浓浓的欧式情调。人行道两旁，一些环绕树木安置的黑色弧形坐凳是吸引往来人们的亮点，坐凳贴合树木本身的形态依势而建，造型简洁“欧风”十足。“既节约空间，又避免大树根部泥土直接裸露，方便清扫，这个设计有创意。”坐在凳子上休息的行人如此夸赞。

此外，欢乐谷、国色天乡、环球中心等时尚、现代的旅游景点也成为成都现代旅游的范本。由华侨城集团打造的成都欢乐谷，把现代旅游休闲、居住与当代都市娱乐完美地结合起来，填补了成都大型都市旅游项目的空白。2015年，成都与万达集团签署合作协议，未来5年，万达集团将在成都市投资不少于1020亿元，打造和运营一批国际水准的文化旅游、医疗、电子商务、城市现代服务业综合体项目。这千亿投资就包括落户都江堰市的550亿元的万达文化旅游城项目。万达集团董事长王健林表示，成都万达文化旅游城将按照世界一流、独创性、唯一性三个高标准设计，建成中国最好的文化旅游项目。

文化设施是现代文化的物质基础，成都有着为数众多的剧院、音乐厅、图书馆、博物馆，让市民沉浸在浓厚的文化氛围里。成都博物馆、剧院、音乐厅等多项文娱设施更保证了市民可以体验到这个城市古老文化与先锋文化的交融，使这个城市充满了文化魅力。一份名为《成都博物馆文化体系调查报告》显示，成都拥有近百家博物馆，历史的、现代的；工业的、文化的；国营的、民营的。丰厚的家底使这座城市的博物馆数量位居全国前列。充足的剧场、音乐厅，使成都的文化休闲充满了多样性，成都市民可以到川剧院去看川剧、可以到音乐厅去欣赏音乐剧、可以到影院去感受电影盛宴。

美食文化是成都休闲文化的重要内容，美食已经成为成都一张闪亮的名片。近年来，川菜“一菜一格，百菜百味”的特色与成都美食文化海纳百川的风格，为世界上越来越多人所了解、熟识和喜爱。

中国联合国教科文组织全国委员会秘书长方茂田就成都能够脱颖而出，成为亚洲第一个“世界美食之都”给出“答案”：“成都是我国的历史文化名城，传承了悠久的城市遗产，成都的美食是其中重要的组成部分……越来越多的人感受到这座城市（成都）浓厚的文化底蕴和魅力。有一句俗语，叫做‘食在中国，味在四川’。作为川菜的发源地和发展中心，成都已逐步成为全球最重要的美食中心之一。”

如今，“世界美食之都”成都的国际范儿越来越足。从米歇尔·奥巴马到德国总理默克尔，众多海外名人的成都之行，与成都美食的“互动”都是不可或缺的重要内容。30余家“中华名小吃”，13个“中华老字号”，宽窄巷子、锦里、文殊坊等10多条知名美食街，6万多家餐饮企业遍布城市东西南北；川菜之外，粤菜、鲁菜、淮扬菜、湘菜等省外菜系与来自美国、意大利、德国、法国、韩国、日本、巴西、印度、墨西哥等国家的餐饮品牌，纷纷成为这座国际美食之都的一分子，为成都市民和外地来蓉游客提供更多选择，也为这座城市增添了更多的魅力。
